Rosacea

Rosacea affects an estimated 14 million Americans -- most of them aren't even aware of it. A survey found that 78 percent of Americans have no knowledge of this condition, including how to detect it and how to treat it.

Rosacea cannot be cured, but it can be controlled.

Its red, and acne rash-like effects on one's appearance, has the potetnial to cause psychological, social and occupational problems if left untreated.

The direct cause of rosacea is unknown and there is currently no cure, today there is medical help that can keep the signs and symptoms of this potentially life-disturbing disorder. If you suffer from any one of the listed warning signs below it might be advisable to see a dermatologist or other knowledgeable medical professional for diagnosis and treatment. Its wise to do this before the symptoms and signs become more severe:

  • Redness on the cheeks, nose, chin or forehead.
  • Small visible blood vessels on the face.
  • Bumps or pimples on the face.
  • Watery or irritated eyes.
